At the Imagination Lab, we run a community programme for Lambeth residents. We run free activities exclusively for local residents and welcome Lambeth residents to attend a range of additional events at the Lab with discounted or free tickets.

The Institute of Imagination’s Imagination Lab, in Lambeth, has been generously supported by the Rangoonwala Foundation to provide a community programme, which includes free workshops and events for Lambeth residents.

Our Imagination Lab is located at The Workshop on Lambeth High Street: a space where children and families can explore and discover new technologies and experiment in arts and science workshops. We offer a variety of different activities, from Tinkering Clubs to teacher and parent training. Find out more about the different activities below.

Community workshops and Tinkering Clubs

We run community workshops for local residents called Lab Life. The workshops offer a range of activities for families, such as micro computing, augmented reality and 3D printing helping children, parents and carers to develop new skills and an understanding of future technologies, as well as leaning skills like independent thinking and confidence.

Once every six weeks, we run Tinkering Club on Saturdays. Open-ended experiments help to develop inquisitiveness, as well as providing a safe space for children to interact and engage with their peers, meeting other young people from the local area. We play with circuits, coding, crafts and much more!
