12-year-old Oliver Chalcroft wins our travelcard holder design competition

The design by 12-year-old Oliver Chalcroft from Harpenden was chosen from over 500 entries as the winner of our competition to create a design on the theme “dance through your imagination”. His colourful creation has been reproduced onto a limited edition of 10,000 London Oyster Card wallets, which will be distributed to Londoners across the summer, as part of Big Dance 2016. Not only that, but Blippar, the world’s leading augmented reality platform, has brought the winning design to life.

Darcey Bussell, ballet star and judge on the hit TV show Strictly Come Dancing, took time out of rehearsals at the Royal Opera House to meet Oliver and his mum.

Darcey was a special guest judge and selected the final winner of the competition, which was organised jointly by the Institute of Imagination and Big Dance.
