Lab Liftoff: Game & Code

16th April 2019, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

You’re invited to… Lab Liftoff: Game & Code

Join us for a full day skills camp for children 7-12 learning to code and remix content through playful technology.

What can I expect at Lab Liftoff: Game & Code

Working in small teams, children will get hands-on with new tech and learn how to use a range of tools that make coding fun!

They can learn to remix content with activities including:
–       Design challenges making musical instruments, animals and interactive toys using Nintendo LABO
–       Coding and creating music and games that respond to movement sensors with KANO sensor kits.

It’s the perfect way to get children thinking about the creative possibilities of gaming, so they’re not just consuming games and gaming technology but making the rules themselves.

When is Lab Liftoff: Game & Code?

This camp is taking place on Tuesday 16 April, from 10:00am until 4:00pm. This is a drop-off event, children do not need to be accompanied by a parent or carer during the workshop. Children should be collected at 4:00pm.

Who is Lab Liftoff: Game & Code for and how much does it cost?

Ideal for children aged 7-12 years. The camp costs £65 for the full day of activities. Please note that projects cannot be taken home at the end of the day as the tools must stay in the Lab.

Are refreshments available at Lab Liftoff: Game & Code

Lunch is not provided, children should bring a packed lunch to the Lab.

If you have further questions about the camp, please email: imaginationlab@ioi.london.
