You’re invited to… Lab Liftoff: micro:bit & make
Join us for a full day skills camp for children 7-12 exploring creative invention using micro:bit, a tiny programmable computer, designed to make learning easy and fun!
What can I expect at Lab Liftoff: micro:bit & make
Working in small teams, children will learn how to use micro:bit, a multifunctional, handheld, programmable micro-computer that can be used for all sorts of creations, from robots to musical instruments.
Once they have got to grips with their micro:bit, children will be invited to invent and design from a range of open ended projects that involve motors, lights and sensors.
This is an opportunity for children to learn how to code a micro-computer using the Make Code interface while also using arts and crafts for their creations to inspire creativity.
The workshop is for all abilities and allows children with previous experience of micro:bit to work at a more skilled pace.
