RE:CODE London – POSTPONED

A message to all schools wishing to participate in RE:CODE London

As you will be aware, the Government has announced the closure of schools and given clear guidance that the public should avoid events with large numbers of people and stop all non-essential social contact. 
 
In light of this, we have taken the decision to postpone RE:CODE London workshops scheduled for 28, 29, 30 April and 1 May. We will continue to take the latest advice from Public Health England (PHE) and encourage you to visit the NHS website for the latest information and guidance.

You’re invited to… RE:CODE London

RE:CODE London gives young Londoners aged 9-11 the chance to take on a real-world coding challenge.  RE:CODE London is run in partnership with LEGO Group, Mayor of London and Institute of Imagination.

The aim of RE:CODE London is to strengthen coding and creative problem-solving skills. At each 90-minute session students will build, code and learn with Milo the robot (LEGO Education WeDo 2.0 robotics kits), to help tackle some of our city’s challenges.

When and where is RE:CODE London?

Sessions are held on Wednesday 29 April to Friday 1 May. You can book to attend one of five workshops per day: 10am, 10:30am, 11:10am, 11:40am or 12:35pm.

If you are booking a school group, please book for the total number of children. You can take up to 90 pupils to a workshop. Please note that we will cancel bookings which do not meet these criteria.

Who is RE:CODE London for and how much does it cost?

To book you must be a London Curriculum registered primary school. The workshop is suitable for students aged 9-11, Years 5 and 6. A session can hold up to 90 students.

How do I book for RE:CODE London?

You can register your interest here. Bookings are managed by the Mayor of London’s team. If you have any questions, you can email the team at: curriculum@london.gov.uk.

The RE:CODE London programme was the winner of the 2018 Cross-Sector Digital Collaboration of the Year, in the Digital Leaders 100 Awards.
