Digital Heroes 2023 was a fantastic success. 183 children took part in creative digital workshops, delivered in partnership with community organisations across the London boroughs of Lambeth and Newham.
Digital Heroes 2023 explored the theme of ‘Save, Make, Reinvent’. Children learnt about the circular economy, created junk bots out of recycled materials and inks from food waste and explored new technologies such as stop motion animation and coding with LEGO.
Lambeth
In Lambeth, we partnered with 3 community organisations Drew House and Myatts Field South (both via Millennium Community Solutions), and Lollard Street Adventure Playground to deliver 5 weeks of creative digital workshops to children aged 7 – 11 years old.
Newham
In Newham, we partnered with UKIM Masjid Ibrahim Islamic Centre and Royal London Docks Learning and Activity Centre (RDLAC) to offer full days of workshops over the summer holidays.
Each partner organisation has gone on to deliver their own follow up creative workshops to more than 200 children and counting.
