Lab Live: Tinker Wonderland

You’re invited to… Lab Live: Tinker Wonderland
Join the Institute of Imagination for a festive celebration of tinkering and making. Tinker Wonderland is a Christmas market with a twist where you can explore over 25 interactive stands and stalls in our 12,000 sq ft space.
Join us for a host of activities for the family, including:
- Solder and make a Rudolph red nose mini circuit with Mad Lab
- Create your very own festive LED flashing light monster
- Build your own interactive soft toy with #YoSTEAM
- Design and 3D print your own Christmas decorations with Ultimaker
- Create pop-up Christmas cards with an expert maker
- Take a trip to Lapland using our green screen and send your festive video to friends and family
- Become Santa using the latest virtual reality technology
- Make colourful, festive light boxes
- Keep the robins happy and make your own birdfeeder
- Join The Crafty Robot to play with and power a little robot
- Help decorate a giant cardboard Christmas tree
- Get ahead of Christmas shopping with the Imagination Store, DK Books and Pimoroni
You can buy lunch from street food vendors at the event and hot drinks will be available. This event is indoors but the Imagination Lab is an unheated warehouse and we strongly advised that you dress warmly.

When is Lab Live: Tinker Wonderland?
Live Lab: Tinker Wonderland takes place Saturday 2 December between 10am – 4pm with activities running throughout the day. You can drop-in throughout between 10am – 4pm or spend the day with us.
Who is Lab Live: Tinker Wonderland for and how much does it cost?
This event is ideal for children aged between 6 – 12 years old. Please note that all children must be accompanied by an adult.
Tickets cost £6 for this all day event with some activities providing a paid option. All activities can be enjoyed for free, but some activities include an option to take away your creations for a small cost. There will also be stalls selling festive items to browse and purchase as gifts and as souvenirs of your day.
Is there food and drink at Lab Live: Tinker Wonderland?
There will be street market vendors at the event selling food. Hot drinks and mulled wine will also be available to purchase. As always, we welcome you to bring your own food, which can be eaten in the Lab.
