You’re invited to… Lab Liftoff: #RobotZoo
We’ve teamed up with Birdbrain Technologies from Pittsburgh, USA for a day of experimentation with robotics.
What can you expect at Lab Liftoff: #RobotZoo?
In this all day workshop, children will learn about and interact with robotics, using Birdbrain Technologies’ Hummingbird Kits. Using these kits, children will design and build a Robot Zoo, creating moving robot animals.
Using craft materials, sensors, lights and servos children will learn about engineering, electronics, coding and physical prototyping whilst imagining a whacky world of robotic animals.
This is a beginner friendly ‘hackathon’ fusing science, arts and technology. Working in groups, children will create their zoo and take part in a fun showcase event at the end of the day for parents and carers. The goal of these animatronic animals is to delight others with unexpected animation, combining creativity, technology and humor!
The creations from the workshop will be on display at BETT 2018.
