You’re invited to…Lab Life: Super City
What might a city of the future look like? How might we live and move around it? How would you animate it with people? Join Sculptor Jim Bond, wire artist Helaina Sharpley and Maker extraordinaire Samantha Bryan as we start to create Super City, a collaborative and interactive cityscape which will come alive at the Imagination Lab over the next few months. Super City is the iOi’s first cultural residency, which will form a permanent exhibit at Imagination Lab for future visitors to evolve.
What can I expect at Lab Life: Super City
At Lab Life: Future Me, you’ll be the first to start imagining Super City – planning, drawing and constructing the foundations of a mini-city in the Lab using wire, clay and mesh. Get the city moving by creating its first futuristic transport – it’s your city and anything goes!
Children can get hands-on at a number of activity stations in the Imagination Lab:
