Lambeth Sparks Virtual Family Workshop

You’re invited to….

Lambeth Spark’ Big Augmented Digital Challenge! If you took part in the Lambeth Sparks programme, you’re invited to use your imagination to create a world of wellbeing that would support or nourish other people.

This session will (re) introduce children to programming in Co Spaces, and cover how to add collisions, loops, pictures, videos and sound to their creations. You will be allocated a unique Co Spaces username and password, and will be sent a digital resource pack via email. They can use this to make a game, quiz, inventive creation or tell a story using their imagination.

Children will have until 16th June to submit their augmented world. The iOi will keep in touch by sending tips via email and Whatsapp groups and answering any questions you may have! We will share your creations on the iOi website and send them to Co Spaces who will showcase the top creations online.

Times: 

You can attend any of our three drop-in sessions (via Zoom):

1. 9:30 – 10:45
2. 11.30-12.45
3. 14.00-15.15

Don’t worry if you can’t attend any of these times, we’ll still be sharing the resource with you.

Session Structure:

The session will run be hosted on Zoom. Details of how to join will be emailed to you.

• Warm ups and introductions
• Introduction to the challenge: To create a world of wellbeing in AR
• Learn to digitally make in Co Spaces: How to code, make collisions, use looping, inputting pictures and videos, adding sound and scenes to their stories
• Showcase the work so far

What you will need:

1. An iPad/Laptop/Tablet or Phone
2. Login and password details for Co Spaces (Please login prior to the session to ensure it is working)
3. Resource sheet
