YMCA Tarling Road Community Hub SEND Family Day

We’re running a SEND family day just for you! Suitable for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities for 5 – 11 year olds.
Our free 90 minute workshop is based on our brand-new Imagination Box and we want to share it with you! This box has been specifically designed for children with SEND and will explore experimenting with colours. It includes an array of sensory activities using tactility, sound, visual observation, visual learning, and some that use fine motor skills. All activities will be adapted to support everyone in the group.
What will happen in the session?
Explore light boxes with the Institute of Imagination! In this inclusive 90 minute workshop, we will support you and your family to explore, tinker and get creative with shadow theatre. This activity is taken from the new iOi: Imagination Box, which you will receive at the end of your workshop.
What are the timings?
- Tuesday 15th February 2:30pm – 4pm
- Wednesday 16th February 2:30pm – 4pm
Activities will be the same across both day – so only book in for one session
In the middle of the session, we will have a comfort break.
How many spaces are there?
30 people maximum per session. This may be adapted dependent on Government Guidelines before the event.
Children and young people attend with one adults/carers. Siblings can also come along, just let us know how many!
