You’re invited to…Lab Learn: The Firebird Lab
A workshop for Key Stage 2 students exploring empathy through multi-sensory games and activities. All the activities are inspired by Stravinsky’s classical masterpiece The Firebird.
What can I expect at Lab Learn: The Firebird Lab?
Key Stage 2 students will have the opportunity to create new worlds, develop new languages and see things through the eyes of others in the multi-sensory world of Bittersuite’s The Firebird Lab. This is a workshop where you don’t just listen to music; you smell, taste, see and feel it as well!
Each year, the Institute of Imagination runs a cultural residency and this year’s theme is empathy. Through this workshop, students will investigate new ways of listening and communicating through a variety of activities. They will explore the feelings of others, what narrative is and how to stretch their imaginations through multi-sensory games, movement, play and performance.
When is Lab Learn: The Firebird Lab?
The sessions are on 8 and 9 May and 4-6 June between 10:00am – 2:00pm. Please note 9 May has sold out.
