You’re invited to…Lab Life: Robotics Reimagined

A robotics and coding workshop for families, where you can learn to code and build together.

What can I expect at Lab Life: Robotics Reimagined
Families will get hands-on with playful technology using BBC micro:bit (a tiny programmable computer) and the coding programme Scratch. You can get hands-on with a range of skills in design, coding, electronics, engineering and physical prototyping.

Here are a few of the activities that we’ve got planned:

• Bringing toys to life with Scratch and BBC micro:bit
  Design and build your own toys and bring them to life by coding in the programme Scratch and attaching a micro:bit to their creation. From flying bicycles to a laughing and jumping teddy bear – create anything your imagination stretches to!
• Jitterbots, a homemade robot!
  Using a combination of hobby motors, battery packs and arts and craft materials, invent a dancing jitter robot.
• Make a musical instrument with Nintendo LABO
  Build using the cardboard LABO kits and connect the to a Nintendo switch for musical tinkering fun.

When is Lab Life: Robotics Reimagined
Lab Life is on Sunday 23 June. You can join us for a morning session from 10:00am – 12:30pm or an afternoon session from 1:30-4:00pm.

Who is Lab Life: Robotics Reimagined for and how much does it cost?
These sessions are for Lambeth residents only and are suitable children age 7-11 years old and their parents/carers. If you are not a Lambeth resident, visit our what’s on page for events you can book.
