You’re invited to… Lab Liftoff: Game Invention
Join us for a full day skills camp for children aged 7-12 years, inventing games and learning to code with BBC micro:bit, a tiny programmable computer and Scratch 3, a coding programme.
What can I expect at Lab Liftoff: Game Invention
Working in small teams, children will learn how to use BBC micro:bit and learn coding through Scratch 3 to build and design their own games, either recreating their favourites or inventing new games straight from their imaginations.

When is Lab Liftoff: Game Invention?
This camp is taking place on Wednesday 29 May, from 10:00am until 4:00pm. This is a drop-off event, children do not need to be accompanied by a parent or carer during the workshop. There will be a show and tell at 3:30pm, which parents/ carers are encouraged to attend. Children should be collected at 4:00pm.
Who is Lab Liftoff: Game Invention for and how much does it cost?
Ideal for children aged 7-12 years. The camp costs £65 for the full day of activities. Please note that projects cannot be taken home at the end of the day as the tools must stay in the Lab.
Are refreshments available at Lab Liftoff: Game Invention?
Lunch is not provided, children should bring a packed lunch to the Lab.
