You’re invited to…Lab Liftoff: Monster Robots
This event is now fully booked.
Join us at the Imagination Lab this October half term for a special Halloween event. We’ve teamed up with u can too for two days of experimentation with some ghoulish and ghostly robotics.
What can I expect at Lab Liftoff: Monster Robots?
Across the two days of this workshop, children will learn about and interact with robotics, using Birdbrain Technologies’ Hummingbird Kits. During the workshop children will work in groups to design and build robots to showcase in our ‘Haunted Hallway’ at the Imagination Lab. These creepy critters and spooky robotic creations will be able to respond to interaction from anyone who passes by. The goal is is to delight others with unexpected animations, combining creativity, technology and humour!
Using craft materials, sensors, lights and servos, children will learn about engineering, electronics, coding, mechanisms and physical prototyping whilst imagining a spine-chilling addition for the Haunted Hallway.
This is a two-day workshop, where children can explore their imagination and ingenuity on both days:
When is Lab Liftoff: Monster Robots?
This camp is taking place on Monday 22 and Tuesday 23 October, from 10:00am until 4:00pm. This is a drop-off event, children attend both days of this event and do not need to be accompanied by a parent or carer during the workshop. On Monday, children should be collected at 4:00pm and on Tuesday parents can return at 3:30pm for the Haunted Hallway showcase of the work created during the camp. This will finish at 4:00pm.
