Online CPD Creative Technology Training: Southwark and Lambeth Teachers and TA’s

Teachers and TA’s from Southwark and Lambeth you’re invited to….
Join our new FREE online Creative Technology in the Classroom CPD – supported by Sir John Cass Foundation. Bringing together the arts, engineering and digital technologies.
We offer this training free to a selected number of Southwark and Lambeth teachers and teaching assistants who work at schools in areas of high deprivation. This can mean more than average free school meals for example.
This training runs remotely via zoom. Register your interest here. Places will be given on a first come, first serve basis.
What can I expect at this CPD training?
- iOi’s pedagogy – linking open-ended, child-led, cross-curricular learning to children’s ideas and imagination.
- Discover the Micro:bit computer for digital making and physical computing in the classroom (no prior experience is required, this is a beginners course). This course includes a free Mirco:bit.
- Explore how to make better use of digital and creative resources in the classroom.
Sharing of ideas between schools
Participants on the training will be invited to a third Twilight community session Friday 12 June 16.30 to 18:00, focussing on sharing insights on using creativity and digital tools for teaching during the Covid-19 period of school closures.
When are the sessions?
We will be running two sessions, each 2.5 hours:
- Wednesday 20 May | 15.30 – 18:00
- Wednesday 3 June | 15:30 – 18:00
You are expected to attend both of these sessions.
