What will happen in this session?
We’ll help you build your very own wind tunnel using household objects! Children will then be challenged to test different creations in their wind tunnel. Can you make something which spins? Which floats up high? Or can hover for 10 seconds? Find out in our sessions, in which children with learn these basic physics concepts.
Session Structure

2. Testing time: Participants will test out different objects that can hover or float. We will set challenges such as: how high can you make something fly? Can you make something that spins? They will also be encouraged to think about different elements of their design and ask questions as to how their object can be improved.

When is the session? This session is from 10:00 – 11:30 on Friday 19th February. There will be up to 75 participants at each session. Feel free to drop in whenever you can!
How much does the session cost?
This is a funded programme making it free to participate however you must be living in Newham.

If this is your first time joining an online workshop and you need some help, then give us a call before you join in early. We will also open the room half an hour before so we can help you get settled in.
If anyone has neurodivergent needs, then we will ask for further details when you sign up. We may contact you before the workshop to help your childr(ren) get the most out of the session.
Can I still get involved if I can’t join this session?
If you can’t join this session, we have a resource pack that you can download after the session has taken place. We also have a pre-recorded video that you can watch, so you can catch up in your own time. You will still need to sign up to access the content.
