We are a Living Wage Employer

We are delighted to share that the Institute of Imagination has been accredited as a Living Wage Employer. This means that every member of staff working for the iOi now and in the future will earn a real Living Wage.

1 in 5 employees in the UK earn below the Living Wage – two thirds of children living in poverty have a parent at work. At the iOi, we think that everyone should be paid a living wage for their work and think that everyone benefits when this is the case. It has been shown that offering the Living Wage is beneficial to the individual, to businesses and to society.

The Living Wage is independently calculated every year based on what employees and their families need, not just to ‘get by’, but to ensure a decent standard of living and to participate fully in society.

We feel that introducing the Living Wage is more than just an investment in our staff, it’s an investment in future generations too. As we work towards creating a world-class cultural destination, we want to ensure that we always have children and families at our heart. Implementing the Living Wage for our staff is just one way we will ensure this.

‘Paying the Living Wage is not just the moral thing to do, it makes good business sense too.’
Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London

The iOi continually strive to offer the best to our staff and we’re pleased to join a community of over 4,700 other employers across the UK, who have also committed to always paying a Living Wage.

If you are part of an organisation who is not yet a Living Wage employer we would urge you to find out more on the Living Wage Foundation website and join the campaign to end in-work poverty.

We are currently recruiting for a Marketing and Communications Assistant, deadline for applications is 12pm, Friday 4 January. Check out the job pack here.
