Join us at The Hub at Wellcome Collection where we’ll be exploring and celebrating how our brains think, explore and imagine.
There’s not one human in the world that thinks in exactly the same way. At these family events we’re inviting everyone to come and celebrate the diversity of our brains and through a range of activities, understand how we all differ in how we like like to think, learn and explore. Through coding, virtual reality, circuits and sound orchestras, pop-up performances, making and tinkering with immersive environments, we’ll be exploring the mind through your senses, body, movement and emotions.
On the Friday session, we’ll be joined by the BBC’s CAPE crusaders for an Our Brains and Our Futures session. Explore ‘everyday’ challenges in new and unexpected ways- you may even discover your very own super power during the turbo charged future focused, fantastical making and creative problem solving extravaganza!
When is Our Brains and Us?
You can attend in the morning or afternoon on 25, 26 and 27 July.
You can book for the morning, 10:00am – 12:30pm or afternoon 1:30-4:00 on each day. You can drop in anytime within the time slot you book for. We encourage you to register in advance, to ensure you get a place. You will need to register everyone in your group for a ticket.
If the event is fully booked, we recommend you come to the Wellcome Collection for return tickets on the day. Whenever there’s space, we can let walk ups into the event as it’s a drop-in session and we are likely to be able to accommodate you in one of the sessions.
Who is Our Brains and Us for and how much does it cost?
These sessions are for all families, children and adults. Tickets for this event are free and you can register in advance. Spaces are limited, so we encourage you to register in advance for your place.
