The Institute of Imagination is delighted to announce the second in their series of summer camps taking place at our Imagination Lab on Albert Embankment in partnership with the film, media and design organisation Creative Sparkworks. The camp will focus on the tools used for film-making, storyboarding film content, editing and production. By the end of the three days, all participants will have the opportunity to develop a story, film, edit and produce a short film.
Ideal for children and young people aged 8 to fourteen, this summer camp is over three days and is held in our Imagination Lab.
The camp will provide a fantastic opportunity for children and young people to learn from a range of film equipment and techniques including:
Over the three days participants will journey through experiencing and learning core skills to be able to use software packages in a hands on curatorial way. The workshop will culminate in a showcasing of children and young people’s films.
Spaces are limited so please book now.
Children and young people do not need to be accompanied but must be dropped off and picked up by an adult or carer at the beginning and the end of each day. All participants must bring a packed lunch.
We work on a 5:1 participant:facilitator ratio.
Our camps are suitable for:
Children and young people aged eight to fourteen.
Participants with a good level of English language.
No prior experience of film-making is required.
