In this online workshop exclusively for schools in Newham, we will be exploring the Circular Economy and how the everyday objects around us can be Saved, Made and Reinvented. Prototyping Junk Bots for KS1 & 2

Using recyclable materials, you will experiment with inventing and prototyping your Junk Bots. You will learn about the materials that can be recycled and be inspired to reuse them in imaginative ways. Working in groups and as a class you will test ideas, maybe you will prototype a junk bot cleaner or a junk bot artist? For KS2, teachers will be guided on how to help pupils bring movement to their bots using hobby motors.

How do I join the session?

Sign up using the form below. You will then be sent the Zoom link to the workshop two days before. If you need any assistance setting up then just get in touch.

For this workshop you will need:

• Clean assorted recyclable materials
• Scissors
• Sellotape / Masking Tape
• Glue Sticks
• Craft materials like googley eyes, pipe cleaners, straws, lollipop sticks ect

We will provide:

• Hobby Motors and Battery Packs for KS2 Classes

Who is this for?

All Primary schools in Newham and Lambeth who are looking to think outside the recycling box about protecting our environment. This activity is suitable for all KS1 and KS2 year groups.

This workshop is free to join for KS1 & 2 classes in the London Borough of Lambeth and Newham.
