It’s hotting up in London and ahead of our BIGGEST summer yet at the Imagination Lab in August with Mega Maker Lab, we’re out and about at festivals across London this July – come and say hello!
Stockwell Festival – 6 July
Now in it’s nineteenth year, the Stockwell Festival is a landmark event for the local community celebrating all things Stockwell! Hosted on Larkhill Park, there’s live music, street food, free children’s entertainment, rides, sport, dance, a Community Action Zone and much more. we’ll be there offering free workshops where children can get to grips with the skill of making circuits. Create a circuit on paper or card using copper tape, and batteries, explore lighting up LEDs in circuits and get busy with different materials on offer (feathers, foam card, colouring pens) to bring artworks to life!
Lambeth Country Show – 20 and 21 July
We’ll be at Lambeth Country Show on 20 and 21 July. It’s the 45th Lambeth Country Show and Brockwell Park will be transformed to celebrate the very best of the city and countryside. With over 100,000 people attending throughout the weekend, the show is one of the biggest free family festivals in the UK and we’ll be there with an pop-up Imagination Hub! Come and find us for a water rafting workshop where children can get to grips with the skill of making a miniature floating and wind-powered vehicle.
London’s National Park City Festival – 22 July
The Mayor of London’s National Park City Festival is all about London’s amazing outdoors with hundreds of free events across the city, from outdoor fitness sessions and live performances to bee-keeping and open water events for the family. The Mayor of London is working with National Park City Foundation, other partners and Londoners to make London the world’s first National Park City. The festival runs from 20 to 28 July and on 22 July, we’re joining up with the Mayor of London and LEGO Group for another RE:CODE London at Crossrail Place Roof Garden. Children can take on real world challenges on the theme of protecting London’s wildlife using LEGO Education WeDo robotics kits. We’ll be running sessions throughout the day and you can register to join us here.
